Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt share six children together, which include Maddox Chivan, 22, Zahara Marley, Shiloh Nouvel, 17, Pax Thien, 19, and twins Knox Leon and Vivienne Marcheline, 15. They adopted three of their children, including Zahara, who was adopted from Ethiopia.
Last year, Jolie made headlines when she dropped her daughter off at her Atlanta-based school and got emotional at the goodbye. In a video posted by the universityās VP of Student Affairs, Darryl Holloman, Ph.D., the Oscar-winning actress talked to the schoolās president Dr. Helene Gayle, about the emotions she was feeling about dropping her daughter off.
Off-camera, Jolie is asked how she is feeling, and sheĀ responds, āIām gonna start crying.ā She also mentioned how she felt excited about being a āSpelman mom.ā

The caption went on, āCongratulations to Zahara Marley Jolie-Pitt, daughter ofĀ Angelina JolieĀ and Brad Pitt, who just joined Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. at Spelman College!ā
Other notable figures who have been a part of AKA sorority are women like directorĀ Ava DuVernay, Vice PresidentĀ Kamala Harris, civil rights icon Rosa Parks, authorĀ Toni Morrison, journalistĀ Robin RobertsĀ as well as actressĀ Jada Pinkett-Smith.

As part of the ceremony, Zahara can be seen yelling out her name and where she is from. She then calls herself an AKA sister and No. 7 in the line of new initiates into the sorority.
āWe see you and canāt wait to see all you do in the name of sisterhood, scholarship, and service to all mankind!ā Essence wrote in the caption.
In the comments, people were getting emotional about Zaharaās pledge to the sorority. They appreciated that while she had been raised by white parents, she was still in touch with her roots and race.

ā[Shout out] to the white parents who ensure their black children get to have cultured experiences. Angelina has always been a humanitarian so it only makes sense that her children continue in service,ā another commenter wrote.
