Isabella Strahan, daughter of Michael Strahan, isn’t letting negativity get her down.
Despite battling brain cancer, the 19-year-old had a confident response to a question about her well-being on social media.
In a recent video, Isabella danced to Sexyy Red’s ‘Get It Sexyy‘ while clad in gray sweatpants and a sweatshirt, after someone demanded to know whether she was still alive.
“Better than ever,” one supportive commenter remarked, to which Isabella replied: “Not going anywhere.”
Another follower jokingly expressed concern, writing: “Thanks for the update … I was worried.”
Isabella’s journey with cancer became public knowledge when she and her famous father revealed her diagnosis on an episode of Good Morning America in January. Diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor known as medulloblastoma in October, she endured hospitalization for several days due to fever after her initial chemotherapy treatment.
During her hospital stay, Isabella – who has been documenting her journey on YouTube – underwent her first blood transfusion and an MRI of her eyes. She marked the completion of her last radiation treatment in January.
Reflecting on her challenging journey, Isabella shared at the time: “It’s been rough. It’s been challenging. It’s been very hard. But I know time will heal and things will get back to — I can’t really say normal because there’s not really a normal now in my life.”
Her father Michael, 52, expressed his admiration for her resilience, stating: “It is tough to see her go through it, but I know she’s a tough young lady, and she’s going to make it through it.”
In a recent update, Isabella revealed that she’d faced a setback and had to undergo a third brain surgery.
“It’s not as bad as the first time, but I’m really in pain. They do give me pain medicine … they don’t work that well on me. So I’m in a lot of pain,” she shared in a YouTube vlog detailing the procedure, which she underwent after developing a fever.
“My head really, really hurts right now. Not gonna lie, I’ve been crying a lot. I’m in a lot of pain. It’s not as bad as last time … my face isn’t as puffy, but it literally hurts to do anything,” she continued.
Michael Strahan, who shares twins Isabella and Sophia with his second wife, Jean Muggli, has shown unwavering support for his daughter – as any doting father would.
