Camilla, Queen Consort of the United Kingdom, is a mom of two and a grandmother of five. She embraced her role as a mom and grandma, doting on her loved ones. The former Duchess of Cornwall once opened up about being a grandmother. She cherishes her grandkids as much as they treasure her.

Camilla gave birth to her first child, Thomas “Tom” Henry Charles Parker Bowles on December 18, 1974. She then requested King Charles III to become the boy’s godfather, and he accepted in February 1975. Camilla and Charles had previously dated and even when she was pregnant with Tom, the two were in contact.
After Tom was born, she and her ex-husband Andrew Parker Bowles, welcomed their second child, Laura Lopes. While Camilla has remarried and is now the Queen Consort, her kids with Tom were not given any royal titles.
When Tom was asked how it felt being part of the British Royal Family, he answered that the kids weren’t a part of the establishment just their mother. “We are the common children […] we’re just on the sides,” he noted.
Tom and Laura value their privacy and live relatively low-key lives. Tom is an internationally renowned food writer and an author while Laura is a former art curator. She was born on January 1, 1978, and isn’t in the public’s eyes compared to her brother. Tom and Laura have since blessed their mother with five grandchildren, who call her “Gaga.”
Lola Parker Bowles
Lola Rosalind Parker Bowles is Tom’s daughter with his wife Sara Buys, a former fashion journalist. Tom and Sara were married for almost two years before having their first baby on October 9, 2007, and she is Camilla’s first grandchild.
Two days after her birth, Camilla visited her. During the visit, Camilla met Lola sleeping in Sara’s arms. So, she only stayed briefly to avoid making the mother and newborn tired.
However, that did not stop the new grandmother from happily showing off her granddaughter to her bodyguard and driver. A passerby said Camilla looked really happy as she beamed at her granddaughter.
Freddy Parker Bowles
Tom and Sara welcomed their second child, Freddy Parker Bowles in 2010 before they parted ways a few years later. Still, Camilla is close with her grandchildren. During the royal coronation in 2023, she was pictured talking to Freddy on the Buckingham Palace balcony.
Grandmother and grandson, 14, seemed to share an easy rapport during this special celebration. Camilla pointed at something in the distance and Freddy listened attentively listening.
Eliza Lopes
Before Freddy was born, Camilla was blessed with her second grandchild, Eliza Lopes. She is the first child of Laura, and her husband Harry Lopes. The couple had welcomed their daughter on January 16, 2008, in London.
Camilla was overjoyed to welcome another granddaughter and went to visit her too. A few years after she was born, Eliza became part of the wedding party when Prince William and Princess Catherine married on April 29, 2011.
Eliza, 16, was only three when she took on the role of a flower girl. People who have seen her recently pointed out how much she had grown since then.
“She grew up lots, isn’t she?” asked a surprised fan. Others noted that they weren’t aware she was related to Camilla. “I didn’t know she was Camilla’s gd, assumed they bridesmaids were all children of their friends,” said a user.
“Wow I wondered who this lovely girl was! I thought she looked lovely,” wrote a fan, who praised Eliza’s beauty. Another fan agreed, “She looks so lovely.”
Years have passed since the wedding, but she still joined Prince William and Princess Catherine during Camilla and King Charles’ coronation. Camilla treasures her beautiful grandchildren, including her twin grandkids, whom she is blessed to have.
Louis and Gus Lopes
Queen Camilla was absolutely delighted when Laura and Harry welcomed twin sons. She spent the day at her daughter’s bedside in the hospital where Louis and Gus Lopes were delivered on December 30, 2009.
Laura was surprised when she was told she was expecting twins as they had never had them in the family before. However, Camilla was excited and couldn’t wait to meet the blonde fraternal twins. After they were born, Camilla jokingly referred to Louis as quite a handful.
The twins have started displaying a sense of responsibility. They were assigned to hold Camilla’s coronation robes weighing approximately 15 pounds. Despite being injured during an accident while on holiday, Gus, a Page of Honor at the Coronation, was forced to carry his duties one-handed. He was pictured with his right arm in a sling while on rehearsals.
Queen Camilla and King Charles as Grandparents
As much as Camilla’s son Tom Parker Bowles, and his ex-wife parted ways, she has spoken positively of the family. Sara is fond of her former mother-in-law and described Camilla as an exceptional grandmother, deeply involved in her grandchildren’s lives.
She emphasized Camilla’s consistently kind demeanor towards her and praised her hands-on approach. Camilla has also spoken out about having fun with her grandkids.
She once revealed that she does Wordle daily with one of her granddaughters. “She’ll text me to say, ‘I have done it in three’, and I say, ‘Sorry, I’ve done it in two today.’ It’s very satisfactory when it tells you how brilliant you are,” admitted Camilla.
King Charles has also been lauded as an amazing grandparent. Camilla described how he willingly gets down on his knees to play with her grandchildren for hours, entertaining them with funny noises and laughter.

Camilla emphasized that her grandchildren absolutely adore him, adding that he’s skilled at reading “Harry Potter” aloud. He effortlessly adopts the various character voices, and she believes children truly appreciate.
Camilla is doing great in her role as a grandmother. Her grandkids are growing up fast, now in their teenage years. The mom of two is also blessed to have King Charles beside her as he is a wonderful grandfather. The two include their grandkids in their special events and dote on them.
